Immersive entertainment is EVERYWHERE. As this new frontier continues to grow, I needed to bring on an expert.  Now, it’s obvious to include performers when you think of entertainment, but when you think of an immersive experience, it’s not just the performers who bring their creativity to the party. My guest today, Mikhael Tara Garver, is not just one of my dear friends, but is one of the pre-eminent thought leaders in immersive entertainment and original experiential performances. And… She’s been in the news lately as she just wrapped up as Director of Immersive Experience for Disney’s Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. Mikhael's work does not stop there! She is a director, creator, designer and thought leader who has created innovative immersive work combining digital and physical across theaters, brands, nonprofits, corporations, startups, social justice organizations and civic spaces. And, she is one of us. She truly believes that creative people can change the world and implements this through her experiential studio 13Exp that centers ambitious IP primarily led by women, LBGTQIA, non-binary, veteran, differently-abled, undocumented, and BIPOC creators.  What you're going to hear Mikhael talk about in our conversation is about the power of being seen and heard in a new way.
