Description

It was eight years ago today that a 17-year-old by the name of Raheem Sterling was brought on for his Liverpool debut by Kenny Dalglish. In doing so, Sterling became the third youngest player in the Reds’ history, and over the next four seasons he went on to make 129 appearances for the club, underlining his status as one of the game’s brightest young talents. However, his actions leading up to his £49m move to Manchester City in the summer of 2015 left a bad taste in the mouth of Liverpool supporters that lingers to this day. But is it time to move on? To forget, if not forgive? And with Sterling fluttering his eyelashes at Real Madrid, and history potentially repeating itself, would you have him back at Anfield if the chance arose? Sterling himself hasn’t ruled it out. With Guy Clarke mediating, Theo Squires and Matt Addison go head-to-head in our new podcast, Split Opinion.
