Description
Neil Fitzmaurice is back with his Poetry in Motion podcast and for the latest episode he is joined by Dan Kay and reunited with Joe Rimmer. The trio kick off the show by looking back on Liverpool's statement-making victories over the past week.Dan explains why the win over Tottenham was proof positive of the biggest development in Jurgen Klopp’s side and why Tuesday must go down as one of the great European nights at Anfield.Whereas Joe was shocked at just how much better Liverpool were than Spurs but less surprised that Paris Saint-Germain went the way of Roma, Manchester City and so many others.Fitzy reckons someone is going to be on the end of a beating soon and that opens up a discussion about the area that the Reds need to improve despite their perfect start to the season. It is a season that continues at home to Southampton on Saturday and Dan believes this is where Klopp will now really start to earn his corn.Selection for the visits of the Saints, and then Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, is a major talking point, but the lads find it bizarre that some are suggesting that Mohamed Salah should be taken out of the team.Joe also hails one Liverpool player the greatest in the world in his position while Dan see similarities between another of Klopp’s key men and one of the best – if not the best – player ever to pull on a Red shirt. It’s a brilliant listen.
