Description
Chris and Eric continue Time Travel Movie Month with a look at Richard Kelly's directorial debut and cult classic Donnie Darko. The film stars a very young Jake Gyllenhaal as the eponymous Donnie, a troubled teenager who is tasked by a man-sized bunny with saving the universe. It's a confusing yet enthralling film that still holds up over fifteen years later due to its amazing cast and novel use of time travel tropes. As always, you can follow Chris Stachiw on Twitter at @KultureStach, Eric Kniss at @tychomagnetics and Kulture Shocked at @KultureShocked. The music is Wovoka's "Lament," and big thanks to them for allowing us to use their song. You can also subscribe to the Kulturecast on iTunes here.
