The case involves Brian Lapsys, an individual who claimed to have been coming to the defense of a 12-year-old child. The minor purportedly escaped her home to seek shelter at Brian’s mother’s home because her father allegedly hit her. But, as in any case, where exactly does the truth lie (get it)? Brian was accused of aggravated assault when he pointed an AK-47 at the father and let out two rounds from the gun. Were they warning shots or was Brian being reckless? As a parent, would you let some “stranger” hold your child in their home under the guise that they were intervening and protecting them?
