Rabbi Robert J. Marx was a lifelong champion for justice. He founded the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs in 1964 as a way to mobilize the Jewish community to stand up for economic, racial and social justice. Marx also worked closely with the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
