Since Confederation, provinces have been trying to leave Canada. These days, western or Alberta separation seems to be the hot-button topic but not only is it nearly impossible to accomplish, its just a bad idea. From the candidate who was against the metric system and multiculturalism, to the separatist party led by a defender of Holocaust-deniers and neo-Nazis, the history of separatist parties and their members is an interesting one.
