Description
Since Confederation, provinces have been trying to leave Canada. These days, western or Alberta separation seems to be the hot-button topic but not only is it nearly impossible to accomplish, its just a bad idea. In my latest episode of Canadian History Ehx, I look at the history of western separation movements, that have seen little in the way of success over the past 40 years. From the candidate who was against the metric system and multiculturalism, to the separatist party led by a defender of Holocaust-deniers and neo-Nazis, the history of separatist parties and their members is an interesting one.
