One Hit Thunder producer Matt Kelly has brought up the band Flobots on several occasions on the show, so it was only right that an entire episode was finally dedicated to their 2008 single “Handlebars”. What lyrically starts as basically “look ma, no hands!” turns into an epic commentary on power, corruption, and militarism. Today, we’ll dive even deeper into Flobots, and we’ll decide if we jumped the gun with the “one hit wonder” tag on a band that might still lead the nation with a microphone.
