Most of 2019, I wrote or talked about how the Cardinals made for a natural trade partner with the Indians. Now that the season is over is this still case? I look at how many of the Cardinals hitters regressed or struggled in 2019. I go over a pitching staff which has one of the best young arms in baseball, and then a bunch of fungible back end types. We look into one of the deepest pens in the league. After recording it was announced the Yankees had hirer, the recently promoted, Matt Blake to be their new pitching coach. So there is a quick take on this after the podcas's initial end. I will have more on Blake on Monday, but know his loss will be felt more than Puig or any free agent the Indians lose this year or next.
