Description

In this episode, I am honored to welcome two guests, Kathryn Rogers of the Maya Moon Collective and Steffi Reyes-Thomas of Holistic-Spaces. We talk about the beautiful space they collaborated on, the brick-and-mortar Maya Moon Collective cafe in San Diego. Steffi shares how she came into holistic interior design, and Kathryn shares how she began working with cacao. We then dive into how their talents and passions came together to design the cafe. Steffi led with a people-first approach, bringing elements of Kathryn’s flagship product to life in the space.

Katherine Rogers is the founder of Maya Moon Co, which was born out of her love for sweets and an allergy to processed sugar. She set out on a mission to create a decadent treat that made her and her customers feel amazing in body, mind, and spirit. Since its launch in 2019, Maya Moon has grown to include a team of 10 chocolatiers and cacao tenders serving up hot and cold drinking chocolate, gluten-free pastries, farm-to-table eats, and cacao truffles at their first brick and mortar cafe in San Diego, California.
They also ship organic cacao truffles, and drinking cacao to customers nationwide. Maya Moon is proud to source its whole bean cacao directly from farmers in Ecuador and Peru who are committed to sustainable regenerative growing practices.
