A24 boys are back again as we discover the fine line between sanity and divine guidance in this psychological thriller. We follow the story of Maud, a born-again Christian who is a private nurse trying to help a woman with cancer. What begins as a somber idea slowly blossoms into a "possession-like" horror, I say this because while it has the idea in the trailer that this film is about demons, it is, however, more about the mental stability of a woman decreasing rabidly and being miss-marketed as such is the only negative thing to the film. A story that is as eerie as it is compelling, we look forward to what Rose Glass gives us next but until then, we are glad she was our "savior" in this one.
