Description
The idea for RightMesh began when its founders realized that their team in Bangladesh had to have all of their employees stop using the internet in order for them to Skype with their Canadian headquarters, due to bandwidth limitations. As most of what they were doing was sharing files back and forth, on devices that can both send and receive signals, they thought it was silly to have to disrupt their work. Thus, their idea for a decentralized peer-to-peer network that doesn't rely on sending signals through ISPs or wireless companies was born. The underlying software to allow this can be built within any new application, and sends signals through WiFi, bluetooth, and WiFi Direct nodes directly to other devices. This promises to have a profound effect across developing areas of the world with high population density and low internet connectivity.
