Description

On today’s episode, Jason does a deep dive into Kyrie Irving stating that over the weekend that James Harden – not himself – would be the Brooklyn Nets’ point guard for the rest of the season. While most of the basketball world praised Kyrie for willingly taking a backseat to Harden, Jason isn’t so sure it’s going to work long-term. The last time Kyrie wasn’t the focal point of his team’s offense was during his final years in Cleveland alongside LeBron, and we all know how that one turned out. Moreover, the fact that Harden has so clearly established himself as the team’s best point guard leads to one obvious question: Is Harden actually underrated? He went from leading the NBA to scoring in Houston to supplanting Kyrie as the Nets’ best distributor almost overnight. With Harden and a healthy Kevin Durant, Brooklyn may not even need a happy Kyrie to win the East. In the NFL, it’s looking more and more like Carson Wentz’ days are numbered as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles; the only question at this point is which team will trade for him. And if you’re a quarterback-needy team like the Indianapolis Colts or the New England Patriots, are you even sure that Wentz is better than Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota?
