SEASON 3 EPISODE 20
Join Nick & Peter as they discuss the twentieth chapter of Covenant Theology (written by Dr. R. Michael Allen), published by Crossway and edited by the faculty of Reformed Theological Seminary!
Dr. JV Fesko has taught at RTS Atlanta since 2000 while he served as a pastor in Northwest Atlanta and now as Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology at RTS Jackson. He has been an ordained minister since 1998 in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church serving as a church planter, pastor, and now teacher. Dr. Fesko’s interests include early modern Reformation and post-Reformation theology, the integration of biblical and systematic theology, as well as soteriology, especially the doctrine of justification. Dr. Fesko has authored or edited more than twenty books and written fifty published essays for various journals and books.
How do modern recent theological trends understand the nature of the Bible? How do current theologians "construct" their bible? What is the overarching theme that is generally used and how is it different than Covenant Theology? Who are the major "players" in the recent trends that we should know? How are recent Covenant theologians who have been publishing either in response to these recent theologians, or helping us better understand the covenants in our current context? Why does any of this matter?
