Crawford Gribben is Professor of History at Queen's University Belfast, and is the author of a number of books on the history of puritanism and evangelicalism, including God's Irishmen: Theological Debates in Cromwellian Ireland, Writing the Rapture: Prophecy Fiction in Evangelical America, Evangelical Millennialism in the Trans-Atlantic World, 1500-2000, and John Owen and English Puritanism: Experiences of Defeat, as well as many, many others! His current projects include work on John Owen, especially looking at his relationships with John Milton, John Locke, Andrew Marvell, and Lucy Hutchinson, the first fruits of which have appeared as articles in Review of English Studies (2020) and Milton Quarterly (2020). He is also researching a new project on J. N. Darby and the emergence of dispensationalism, which he have discussed on BBC Radio 4's "In our Time" program.
