Dr. DG Hart is the Distinguished Associate Professor of History at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI. He's been teaching in the seminary or college context across the country for nearly 30 years, and is a member of the OPC (Orthodox Presbyterian Church). His research interests are in 16th and 17th century Geneva (beginnings of the Reformation), 18th century Philadelphia (Second Great Awakening), and the 20th century Fundamentalist/Modernist controversy. He's written numerous books on the history of Protestantism since the 16th century, the modern Evangelical Church and the "Religious Right" movement, and the history of the OPC.
Join us as Dr. Hart sketches the history of the Evangelical movement, how the 1940's - 1980's formed the identity of the evangelical church, and what happened 6 years ago to define the current trajectory of the broader church!
