Carl grew up in the thick of fundamentalist, dispensationalist theology before becoming a Catholic along with his wife and has written a fantastic book on the subject. He joins me to unpack exactly what Catholics believe about the end of the world as well as where belief in the rapture comes from; the historical roots of the rapture, the development of the theology, and how a literal or plain sense meaning of the texts which underpin dispensationalist theology are simply untenable. Plus, we talk about some of the dangerous anti-Catholic origins of the dispensationalist worldview.
