Description

Setting goals – clear and challenging ones – can only happen after you have clearly defined what success means to you. And that can be negatively influenced by your own limiting beliefs. Business coach Jai Long, touches on some of obstacles creatives face when shaping their lives and businesses.Explain your approach of being both successful and having an aligned mindset (2:54)Neither hustling nor being passive are good for your business. Hustling is just like running on a treadmill – going faster still won’t get you anywhere. You have to get off and walk to success. How do you manage you mind when you tend to self-sabotage (4:38)Identify the feelings you have, and then dissect why you are feeling that way. Control the inputs in your life, by surrounding yourself with positive people, and limiting negativity, so you can better serve your client with the output you create. What is a limiting belief, especially when setting goals? (7:22)It is a belief that will stop our growth and our progress. The easiest way to overcome this is to find a way to break through that ceiling and prove to yourself that something is possible.Has your enneagram influenced the way you do business? (12:49)I ask my employees to do theirs, because that way I know how to manage them best, and what motivates them.Tell me about the 6-Figure Business Map (16:57)I teach this course to give creatives a cheat sheet to applying all the superpowers they already have as creatives in a way to make their business thrive. I teach them to lean more into the things they can do well because they can outsource the things they can’t.Do you have a success story to share? (25:25)What does success mean to you? (28:30)The willingness to do and to fail. How do I manage overwhelm when I have to make changes to my business? (31:53)Overwhelm is the killer of all dreams. Start by setting goals and writing them down, then work backwards. But only one thing at a time. For every little thing you do, ask whether it brings you closer to the goal. How do you let yourself enjoy multiple businesses or passions? (36:32)If business is as creative as we think, then why can’t we be creative with what we do? It’s naïve to just choose one thing and think we will be creatively fulfilled for the rest of our lives. A ship doesn’t sink just because you aren’t on it – you can own multiple ships.Lightning Round! (38:15)What are you creatively curious about? (40:28)I am going to be writing a book.Discover more about Jai LongWebsite: https://jailong.co Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jailong.co/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jailong.co/ Bio: Business Coach helping photographers sail towards their success.
