OP is very fond of her niece and was absolutely livid after she found out that she was grounded and humiliated by the girl's father for standing up for herself to her brother. So OP decided to not give her nephew his birthday gift as he was guilty of getting her sister grounded by being overly mean to others. This unleashed a string of events that totally turned OP's life upside down.
