Led by frontman Zack de la Rocha, guitar legend Tom Morello, bassist extraordinaire, Tim Commerford and hard hitting drummer, Brad Wilk, Rage Against The Machine, combined Metal, Rap, funk and punk with intense political lyrics. Their debut album featured ten hard hitting angst filled songs that spoke to a lot of the issues plaguing society. Racism, police brutality, imperialism and more were met with ferocious intensity of del la Rocha's delivery and the heaviness of the band's pulsating music created an excitement that took the 1990's by storm. The debut album went on to go triple platinum and set the band up as a must see band live. Their live performances, including Woodstock 99! have become legendary.
