Today the Detroit Lions announced that they had cancelled their practice so that they could start a conversation regarding race/police issues in this country following what happened to Jacob Blake over the weekend. Huge gave his thoughts on how he likes how the Lions handled today. It's a blueprint for all teams to follow to be heard. He also discussed how you can't label all law enforcement as bad cops. In our second hour, we kept the conversation going about what the Lions did today and what it really stands for. We were joined by Mike O’Hara to get his perspective from Allen Park. He and Huge discussed why it’s so important and what it means that the team decided to do this. We then went on to talk to Jim Brandstatter about the Wolverines not having a football season this fall. At the end of the hour we played a clip from Matt Stafford regarding the events happening today.
In our final hour, we’re talking more about the Lions and their statement about social justice today. We were joined by Logan Lamorandier to get his thoughts and perspective on all of this.
