Description
Huge opened the show today by talking about some of the things that came up from over the weekend. One was that Pac12 players are calling for TV revenue to be shared with them. Huge talked about how it’s a privilege for them to play not a right. We were then joined by Tim Twentyman to discuss the recent news that Matt Stafford has been put on the Covid list, but from reports he is asymptomatic and will hopefully still be able to play the season. We wrapped up the hour by talking about Xavier Tillman and Aaron Henry from MSU.
We started off the second hour by talking about the Tigers/Cardinal series being postponed for the time being as some Cardinals players have tested positive for Covid. We then moved on to discuss how college sports will be affected by covid, and if we foresee a season even happening. We were joined by Chris Balas to talk about all of this, and to talk about the start of the season. Jim Comparoni then joined us for some MSU basketball discussion about Xavier Tillman not coming back, and Aaron Henry coming back.
In our final hour we wanted to talk about the MLB and the Tigers. The series with the Cardinals was canceled for this week in Detrioit due to the Cardinals having positive Covid tests. We were joined by Evan Woodbery to get his thoughts on the cancelations, as well as the Tigers games from over the weekend. We wrapped up the broadcast today by having Tony Ortiz on the show to talk about the passing of Detroit Broadcaster Jamie Samuelsen.
