Description

To kick off the show today, Huge discussed the recent news from this afternoon that Coach Tom Izzo has landed 5-star guard Max Christie out of Rolling Meadows High in Chicago. We were joined by Kyle Austin from MLive told us everything he knows about Izzo's new 2021 recruit. We were then joined by Chris Balas to get a Michigan Basketball recruiting update off the heels off Izzo’s get. Huge and Chris also briefly talked about the likelihood of seeing a football season this year with Covid’s effect on student athletes.
Huge started the second hour by talking about how Patrick Mahomes just recently signed $500 million 10-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. Bill asked the audience whether they think Mahomes is worth it or not – Huge thinks he’s the only player that does. We got the thoughts of Tony Ortiz on this topic, and he and Huge also talked about what NFL training camp, workouts, the preseason, and what the NFL schedule could look like. Huge and Tony also touched briefly on the Tigers’ schedule. We were then joined by Matt Charboneau to talk some more about Izzo and the Spartans in the off-season.
In our final hour, Huge had Frank Schwab from Yahoo Sports on to get his thoughts on the Kansas City Chiefs signing Patrick Mahomes to a $500 million 10-year deal. This is the largest contract in NFL history. Huge and Frank broke that deal down. We replayed the interview with Kyle Austin regarding Izzo’s new recruit, and we ended the show with Tim McCullough from the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mt. Pleasant.
