On today's Farm Friday, we're diving into the Atlanta Braves farm system to identify the next impact talent they're going to call up (and sign to a super-cheap long term deal). Single-A Augusta has some of the youngsters - RHPs AJ Smith-Shawver, Owen Murphy, and JR Ritchie. High-A Rome has sleeper RHP Royber Salinas and toolsy outfielder Brandol Mezquita. AA Mississippi is an extreme pitcher's park, so maybe that's why many folks weren't on Michael Harris and Vaughn Grissom and makes us ask if folks are consequently sleeping on OF Justyn-Henry Malloy. AAA Gwinnett has the good stuff: top pitching prospects LHP Jared Shuster, LHP Kyle Muller, & RHP Bryce Elder, who look to continue Atlanta's tradition of home-grown pitching excellence.
