Brandon Woodruff returned from the injured list on Tuesday after just over a month away dealing with an ankle issue and newly discovered Raynaud's Syndrome. His start was a welcomed sight for the Brew Crew: five dominant innings with ten strikeouts and no walks en route to the win as the Brewers won 5-3 over the Rays. The start was the fifth time in Woodruff's career he reached double-digit strikeouts without yielding a walk.
Kolten Wong also returned for the Brewers and added a key double in the big sixth inning for the Crew that put them in front for good. A pair of two-run homers from Andrew McCutchen and Luis Urías led the way for Milwaukee in the opener of the road trip. Tuesday also marked Willy Adames's return to Tropicana Field along with Mike Brosseau, Hunter Renfroe, and hitting coach Ozzie Timmons.
