The 1980s brought us a lot of good stuff and a lot of bad stuff. Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Star Trek, bad sci-fi, and fantasy movies, as well as a whole slew of music the redefined what could be done from straight up rock and roll guitar wizardry and heavy metal to synthezied computer heavy music and sampling.

The other thing that the 1980s brought us, was funny parody movies. Zucker, Abrams, Zucker were the kings of the parody movie then (are still the kings of the parody movie). Starting with Kentucky Fried Movie and running all the up to the Naked Gun series (as well as others).

But they aren't the only ones that made parody movies in that decade. They may have ruled the roost, but there were a lot of contenders that fought for the king of the movie parody crown.
