Description
When NFL players continually get caught abusing their significant others and the "shield" does little to nothing about it, what can we as a consumer do?
Why is it acceptable for Jason Witten to go on a rant about Kareem Hunt, during the broadcast of the Redskins/Eagles game when moments before, Adrian Peterson - a man that had brutally beat his child with a switch - was lauded as one of the greatest guys on the planet? What about Greg Hardy? Witten played with Greg Hardy as well, who is a know abuser of people.
When is the NFL going to actually do something about this problem? You can blame societal issues on only so much. When do we start actually dealing with the problem? Where does it start?
Well, it starts with the player and it should end with the player as well and the NFL needs to step in and fix this continued cycle of abuse by either doing a better job of education and the use of a hard salary cap on rookies for the first two years or removing them from the game completely, taking away their earning potential.
