Description
Roman Polanski, the famous director and rapist is back in the news. This time, another woman has come forward to claim that when she was 10 years old, he had molested her.
The basic story is this:
[Marianne Bernard](http://www.eonline.com/news/888818/roman-polanski-denies-molesting-10-year-old-girl-in-1975) accompanied her mother to a Malibu house so that they could meet famed director Roman Polanski. Polanski then started taking pictures of Marianne and had asked her to remove her top, in which, in her own words, said " which I was comfortable with, as I was only 10 and I often ran around with no top on,". It was only after Polanski asked her to remove her bottoms that she became uncomfortable. Then she "realized my mom had gone. I don't know where she went, and I didn't really register her leaving, but she was no longer there. Then he molested me."
Now, I'm not saying that Polanski didn't do this. What I'm questioning is, Marianne's parents. It's been 40 years, so I'm pretty sure we are not going to get an answer to the question, unless Marianne already knows.
I also have to question, at what point does a parent leave when a director has asked their child to remove their clothes? I may be fundamentally naive but, no matter how famous or rich or whatever, what parent would put their child in that situation?
Obviously, the answer is "any parent that is willing to put fame and money and a chance to be with a famous director (or person), ahead of their child."
Roman Polanski is many things, but Marianne's mother is just as bad.
