The classic question that I think every latter-day saint ever has asked, "how can I know if a thought is the Holy Ghost, or it it is just me?" is answered in these verses. The Lord teaches us that the Spirit of revelation is a multifaceted thing. He tells us in our minds AND in our thoughts. It doesn't have to be an either/or scenario. We can receive the spirit of revelation and we can have our hearts confirm what we think in our minds. And as we do, we can have greater access to the revelation our Father in Heaven wants to give to us.
