To develop a skill, you first need to know where you're starting from.  What are your current strengths and weaknesses in particular areas of English? Is it listening? Is it speaking? Pronunciation? Incorrect grammar use?  Once you become aware, what is it you want to achieve? Where do you need to improve? What are your resources? What could obstruct your goals?
