Description

Most belief systems - even those that do not directly come from Eastern traditions - seem to fall into the Yin and Yang concept of balance. For every hero, there is a villian, or at least an anti-hero. God has his nemesis, the Devil, and so too does good ol' St. Nick. We are venturing far away from the hustle and bustle of our modern day Christmas and returning to the land of evil myths and wicked legends; the lands we visited for our three part series on the occult roots of Nazism - Germany and Austria of course, with the origins of Krampus Claus, or just Krampus for short. Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure in Alpine folklore who during the Christmas season, scares children who have misbehaved, assisting to Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved on 5 December at night with modest gifts and bad ones with birch rod only. Warm up that eggnog, light those candles and get close to the fireplace because Christmas is about to get colder and darker, with the Christmas Devil![FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA]"Elbow Deep Club" PATREON: www.patreon.com/ordisstudiosWEBSITE: www.ordisstudios.comTWITTER: www.twitter.com/PodcastAfraidINSTAGRAM: www.instagram.com/PodcastAfraid[FOLLOW THE HOST ON SOCIAL MEDIA]JARED'S TWITTER: www.twitter.com/jared_ordisJARED'S INSTAGRAM: www.instagram.com/jared.ordisNICK's TWITTER: www.twitter.com/thenickster15NICK's INSTAGRAM: www.instagram.com/porchetta_sandwichSAM'S TWITTER: www.twitter.com/spookysam8[SPONSORS & MORE MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE]Get 10% OFF your purchase from the Even the Podcast is Afraid Merch Store by using the promo code DEEP10.
