On this week’s episode of the Celtics Pride Podcast with Adam Motenko, Josh Motenko @coachmotenko and Mike Minkoff @mikeminkoffnba, the Celtics Pride guys discuss the signings of Juwan Morgan to a camp deal, and Luke Kornet to an exhibit 10 contract (camp deal with non-guaranteed team option for 2-way contract). Which player would you rather see take the Celtics’ 2nd two-way contract? Or would you guess the team uses that spot for a player cut from another team, like Adam suggests?
With Media day coming up 9/27, training camps opening 9/28, and the Celtics first preseason game 10/4 vs Orlando, we’ve officially hit “deep” off-season territory. Luckily, the CelticsPRIDE podcast has you covered, even if it’s only through responding to Instagram posts of people like Dennis Schroder. The Celtics Pride guys have developed a gimmick just for this purpose. Enter, a segment we call “How Would You Handle It?”:

How would you handle it if you were Dennis Schroeder, who recently passed up an 84 million dollar contract and “fumbled the bag” because he now has a 5.9 mil deal with the Celtics?

How would you handle it if you were Jayson Tatum’s coach and he answers a question asking whether he is going to take the ball to the hoop more often this season now that he’s bulked up with the response, “I know people want to see me go to the basket more. I like some step-back jumpers. It’s compromise. I’ll do what the people want."

And then, How would you handle it if Rafael Stone (Houston’s GM) calls up and offers John Wall and their 2nd round pick next season for Horford and Josh Richardson?


Adam, Josh and Mike then pivot and give their bets for Over or Under the following benchmarks for Celtic players: Will Jayson Tatum will average 27.5PPG? WIll Jaylen Brown will average 25.5PPG? Will Jayson and Jaylen will combine to average 9.5 APG? Will Robert Williams will average 19.5 MPG and playing over 60 games? Will Robert Williams will average 2.1 BPG? Will Aaron Nesmith average 9.5 PPG?
