TW: sexual assault, rape, sexual abuse
Last night Hockey Canada was at a hearing to answer questions on a 2018 sexual assault allegation where eight members of the gold medal winning team (a team that included potential Conn Smythe winner Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche and the Columbus Blue Jackets' own Jake Bean) sexually assaulted a young woman at a Hockey Canada event. I wanted to talk about this specifically and also hockey culture as a whole, because this just keeps on happening. We're talking the hearing, Katie Strang's excellent article on hockey culture, and also looking back to the Bradley Aldrich case and what's improved since then.
