Growing up in New York in the late 60’s & early 70’s, Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, Arthur Brown, Steve Morse, Jeff Beck, Jackson Browne, Johnny WInter… getting the gig with Dickey Betts and stories from 12 years on the road with him - including getting pulled over by the cops with Dickey on his first night of the tour… his vintage strat and loads of other interesting stuff: Andy Aledort has been contributing to the international music scene for 35 years, working as a journalist, instructor and performer. He’s conducted hundreds of interviews and lessons with the world’s greatest guitarists for Guitar World and other publications, and toured and recorded with original Jimi Hendrix band mates Mitch Mitchell and Buddy Miles, and SRV’s Double Trouble. He was a member of Dickey Betts and Great Southern for 12 years. He also played with Albert Collins, Johnny Winter and BB King. He recently co-authored a book about SRV called Texas Flood: The Inside Story of Stevie Ray Vaughan.
