Description

In this episode of the Ruth Institute Podcast, we find ourselves tuning in to the World Prayer Network, run by Pastor Jim Garlow. Dr. Morse speaks on the vision and mission of the Ruth Institute. Dr. Morse explains: the vision of the Ruth Institute is that every child be welcomed into life in a loving home with his or her own father and mother married to each other excepting for an unavoidable tragedy. And she adds that the mission of the Ruth Institute is to equip Christians to defend traditional Christian sexual ethics by providing sound sociological and scientific information, expertise, carefully reasoned arguments, as well as compelling stories from witnesses and survivors. She invites everyone to check out the two talks she gave in Wichita, Kansas at the Eighth Day Symposium. Dr. Morse then begins an abbreviated version of those two talks. For the full talks, see here: https://ruthinstitute.org/podcasts/dr-morse-speaks-on-combatting-sexual-revolution-at-eighth-day-symposium/ Among other things, Dr. Morse plainly states that if you start with the premise that children have a right to a relationship with both of their parents and reason backwards, you are going to end up with traditional Christian sexual ethics. This makes divorce and remarriage an abuse against a child’s rights, excepting of course in grave, unavoidable tragedies. The lifelong cooperation of parents is needed for children to thrive. She gives three, tangible things that all of us can do to help defend the family: Without repentance, we don’t have anything; in other words, we will never fix this society unless we as a society repent of the Sexual Revolution’s ideology Sex-ed in the public schools must be stopped The victims of the Sexual Revolution need to be mobilized to repentance and activism where possible and advantageous – Dr. Morse gives the sterling example of Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood clinic director There are so many enlightening and inspiring words that Dr. Morse shares in this episode, that you will want to listen for yourself!
