Although he gained initial attention for speaking out against the genocidal Chinese Communist Party, pro basketball player Enes Kanter Freedom has been a human rights advocate for nearly a decade now.Freedom says he believes that due to his status as a famous athlete, having played for five NBA teams, he has a responsibility to speak up for causes he's passionate about."If you are an athlete, you can inspire millions of people out there, especially kids, especially our young generation," says Freedom, who was born in Switzerland to Turkish parents.
