Description
Laurie Aguilera says her polling place gave her a Sharpie marker to fill out her ballot on Election Day in Maricopa County, Arizona, despite what her lawyers call state guidelines directing that "felt-tip writing utensils not be used."Ink ended up bleeding through Aguilera's ballot, and election officials would not accept it. The Public Interest Legal Foundation filed a lawsuit on her behalf, “requesting restoration of ballots for voters who were told to fill out their ballots using Sharpie markers but subsequently had those ballots canceled.”Many voters are concerned about election fraud and how ballots are being counted in the wake of the close presidential election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Should voters be concerned about election results being illegitimate, or significant fraud occurring?Logan Churchwell, spokesman for the Public Interest Legal Foundation, joins the podcast to discuss.
