Emily DeFries was convicted of murdering her fiances 22 month old daughter, Anna Bell. Emily, Anna Bell, and her other 8 year old stepdaughter were home alone, when Emily made a call to the police saying that she found Anna Bell lying at the bottom of the staircase. The child's cause of death was blunt force trauma to the skull. Many people aren't sure she was guilty of the crime, and Emily's defense attorney pointed to the 8 year old sister as the one responsible for the crime.
