Description

The announcer gives them an intro, and the two begin teasing each other about their role in the comedy team. Dean sings, Bye Bybe Blackbird.
The nightclub comedy team share a behind the scenes glimpse at themselves as they prepare for their first radio show. They talk, and dream a little about their potential success as actors. They talk about meeting Bob Hope, and being on his show.
Before they leave to meet Bob, they spend a few moments talking with the downtrodden maid. As they enter the studio, Jerry talks candidly with a couple old ladies. They go in to rehearse. While Jerry Aledgedly leads the band, Dean sings, Dreamland Is Not Very Far.
Bob Hope appears with the guise of introducing them on his own show. Bob talks about his worries over his own show, and encourages Dean and Jerry. Jerry has his hair teased. Jerry also gets teased about how young he is. Bob plugs their new movie, and Jerry talks to Bob about his film. . If Dean's lucky, maybe Bob and Jerry will let him cut in.
The guys flub some lines, but comeback with adlibs. Bob invites the guys to an informal party. By now, the script has been left far behind, and adlibs rule the day. Despite the adlibs, the script is almost returned to.
With all the rflubbed lines in an adlib, it works. There are some hilarious moments. Obviously enough to get them their own series in the weeks to come.
Note: Because this is an audition, and with the additional adlibs, the show does run quite long. Well over 30 minutes. In fact, about the time that Bob makes a comment about being an hour show, it just went past the 30 minute mark.
