Description
Texas returns to its home turf this Saturday as the Longhorns look to bounce back against a rebuilding Baylor team, which has only completed two games on the 2020 schedule due to recurring COVID-19 interruptions. Following losing back-to-back Big 12 games prior to the bye week, Texas has plenty to prove and improve upon throughout the remainder of the season after the Longhorns have failed to meet expectations early on in Year 4 of the Tom Herman era.
But with more than half of the games remaining on the schedule, Texas has a chance to change its trajectory starting this weekend as a two-score favorite at home against the Bears. Baylor enters Saturday's game with a lot of unknown and limited game film available under first-year head coach Dave Aranda, which could play to the Bears favor when they kickoff against Texas at 2:30 p.m. CT inside Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium.
On this week's Texas-Baylor preview, The Flagship Podcast welcomes in long-time Baylor radio host David Smoak for an in-depth look at the Bears, including BU players Texas cannot afford to overlook, what to make of Charlie Brewer's early season struggles after the first two games, the strengths and questions marks on Baylor's roster and much more.
Catch all of that and more on The Flagship Podcast's Texas-Baylor preview with special guest David Smoak.
