Manasa gets stuck with the big chapters this time. Annabeth and the girls have a girls trip to have tea with Aphrodite. Jason tries to defend the Romans for being confederate soldiers. Annabeth finds a special map to guide her on the Mark of Athena quest. We discover that eagles actually don’t have noses, so this book has at least one major plot hole. Leo, Frank, and Hazel have a whole underwater side quest that’s kind of pointless and is just to resolve some of the weirdness between them.
