The Washington Capitals who are usually in win now mode because of Alex Ovechkin, and their quest to make a push in the playoffs have depleted their pipeline or future players. But recently the Capitals have been smarter and haven't sold the farm just so they can win some games today and forget about the future. The Capitals drafted some really great players in this year draft in Ivan Miroshnichenko and Ryan Chesley and I think that the future looks bright after the current core of players moves on or retires.
