In this episode of Locked On Capitals I do a player profile on Henrik Borgstrom. Signed as a depth forward, Henrik can also play center. In July near the beginning of free agency, the Capitals signed forward Henrik Borgstrom. According to PuckPedia, it’s a one-year, two-way deal that pays $750,000 at the NHL level and $400,000 at the AHL level.

The Hawks bought out Borgstrom’s contract on Monday. Borgstrom played in 52 games for Chicago in 2021-22, scoring four goals and three assists. He has 13 goals and 13 assists through 110 career NHL games.

The two way contract aspect gives the Caps some flexibility where he can play in Hershey and not have to clear waivers. The season is long and it's good for the Caps the needed depth .
