Smoke and Shadow follows The Rift, but the story overall picks up closely after The Search Part 3 - with Ursa returning back to the Fire Nation for the very first time since her exile many years ago. Things in the Fire Nation capital are not as hunky dory as one might expect following Zukos claim to Fire Lord...and trouble lurks around every corner from those that seek to dethrone Zuko and restore Ozai to his "rightful" position!
