Overview: Skilled nursing facilities experienced some of the first clusters of COVID-19 outbreaks in the United States. In this episode, geriatrician Lee Lindquist will discuss how the characteristics of COVID-19 and the policies surrounding testing contributed to the spread of the virus in skilled nursing facilities. She will outline practical policies that skilled nursing facilities can implement to protect their patients and staff, and stop the spread of infection within their facilities.
