Today we’re going to learn about a famous ancient Christmas Carol. “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” was originally written in Latin and has an interesting history and symbolism in its original text. While the melody is perhaps a bit moodier than typical Christmas carols, this famous tune has been given contemporary makeovers from a variety of modern-day artists and has been re-interpreted by classical composers as well.
