Description
When Chris shows up with a box covered in question marks and filled with a wide variety of music, it makes for an interesting episode. After winning a box full of great music at the Nashville Rock n Pod Expo courtesy of the Rock Strikes Ten podcast, the guys decide to pick some of their favorite tunes from the Mystery Box for play this week. If you haven't heard of Rock Strikes Ten, you're missing out. Host Joey Haynie spins ten songs that span numerous genres and educates you at the same time. It's a great show that Chris and Aaron HIGHLY recommend. I became a faithful listener about a year ago for several reasons. 1) The Music: I always get to listen to great music. The variety of tunes featured is top notch. Into some of the bands more than others, but the exposure to music I haven't heard before is always appreciated. 2) The Guests: Chris and Aaron have what it takes to make an interview worth listening to. The stars and guest that are on are always entertaining. The insight and humor is always appreciated. I learn something I didn't know almost every time. 3) The Variety: I love themed shows, Toddzilla, KISSmas in July, The featured shows (RUSH, AC/DC) and especially the Radio Sucks episodes. A huge shout out to the Y&T episode you had. They have always been a top 3 band for me and it was great for them to get the exposure they deserve. Thats about it. I will continue to make this podcast a weekly must listen. Great Job guys!! Episode 20 - Radio Sucks Radio Show 4: You just keep coming back to get your ears blasted and we thank you! Last week's Eric Carr episode really took off and we want to welcome all the new listeners. For the uninitiated, we try to mix things up throughout the month. While we love doing the interviews and have plenty more for the future, we also like to showcase some music as we're doing today. Corporate radio sucks. That statement is about as simple as saying that the sky is blue or Nickelback is the antithesis to good music. With that said, Aaron Camaro & Chris Czynszak set out each month to play you some deep cuts from rock and metal history that the payola-induced corporate fat cats shudder away from. This is the Radio Sucks Radio Show part 4! We've got a full slab of great music for you today. We start things off with a Motorhead track from the 'Iron Fist' album followed by a KISS track off 1974's Hotter than Hell. Our first break is comprised of a flashback commercial featurin by Decibel Geek Podcast
