Description

On this Gotta Watch The Tape from cleveland.com, there's something a little different. Doug Lesmerises is joined by special guest Brandon Thorn, who tracks sack stats that nobody else does at his newsletter, trenchwarfare.substack.com. Thorn watches every sack in the league, and then grades the sacks of all edge rushers, assigning ratings based on what type of lineman the rusher beat, on what down it occurred and how special it was compared to the average sack, among other things.
That means he spends a lot of time analyzing Myles Garrett.
So Doug and Brandon talked a lot of Garrett, but they also got into former Brown Emmanual Ogbah and current Browns Adrian Clayborn and Olivier Vernon. In the end, Brandon talked about exactly where Garrett fits among the best pass rushers in the league.
Scott Patkso and Ellis Williams will be back for a typical Gotta Watch The Tape on Thursday, but for now, enjoy the special sack insight from Brandon, who can be found on Twitter @BrandonThornNFL.
