Description

This week, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Heather Moser. Heather is a writer, a classics professor, a top tier researcher for Small Town Monsters, and the host of The Lore You Know podcast. As a fan of basically everything that she does, this was a big get for me, but at the end of the day she’s just a brilliant and charming person with some very important insights about best practices for Fortean research. We discuss her academic background and they influence of that on her current work, incidences of moral panic throughout history, and the state of Fortean investigation and research today! Also…it was just awesome to find someone willing to nerd out about the joys of research with me for a half hour. Enjoy. Campfire: Tales of the Strange and Unsettling is created for adult audiences only. The content and discussion in this show will necessarily engage with various accounts that include violence, anxiety, fear, and occasional body horror. Much of it will be emotionally and intellectually challenging to engage with. We will flag especially graphic or intense content so as to never put you in an uninformed or unprepared position. We will do our best to make this a space where we can engage bravely, empathetically, and thoughtfully with difficult content every week. This week’s episode includes the following sensitive content:NONECheck it out!Heather Moser on Instagramhttps://instagram.com/paganhistorian?utm_medium=copy_linkThe Lore You Knowhttps://youtu.be/1xtHDdL5JRIhttps://open.spotify.com/show/4ia7fZzgYnGFrCDfgIz90O?si=olLKpBRbQ_K0iOpbt1SaMAInto The Fray - Weird Writer Bloghttps://intothefrayradio.com/category/blog/weird-writer/The Caravan, Library of Lorehttps://www.caravanoflore.com/blogPurchase The Feminine Macabrehttps://spookeats.com/femininemacabre/Small Town Monstershttps://www.smalltownmonsters.com/Support Us on Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/campfiretalesofthestrangeandunsettlingSatisfy All of Your Merch Needs:https://www.teepublic.com/stores/campfire-tales-of-the-strange-and-unsettling?ref_id=25702Join the conversation on social media atwww.campfirepodcastnetwork.com Discord: https://discord.gg/43CPN3rzInstagram:instagram.com/campfire.tales.podcastGoodPods:https://goodpods.app.link/T0qvGnXnplbTwitter:www.twitter.com/campfiretotsau Facebook:www.facebook.com/campfire.tales.podcastVisit Our Linktree for Any and All Campfire Info:https://linktr.ee/CampfirepodcastSpecial Thanks:Gregg Martin for music contributions!
