Description

Recently, Jessica wrote in to Ask The Egg Whisperer. Here’s what she says, “Have done 2 transfers back-to-back. Last one was a confirmed fail. I was told at that sonogram that my uterus is too large. I have had PCOS and had two surgeries, the last time was 5 years ago. She said that the average size of a uterus is 7cm x 3cm and mine was 7cm x 8cm and tilted. Do babies prefer condos to mansions?” I love this question and how Jessica has worded it! Here’s the thing. If your uterus is enlarged, the one word that I'm thinking of is adenomyosis. So I would talk to your doctor about a pelvic MRI to see what is going on. The other thing that you can do is the ReceptivaDX test to see if there's any type of inflammation in the uterus (but remember: ReceptivaDX is not a test for adenomyosis .It may detect silent endometriosis. But if it comes back negative, it doesn’t mean that you do not have adenomyosis.) There's no perfect test for adenomyosis. So, consider: Pelvic MRI, ultrasound findings, clinical signs and symptoms, and laparoscopically looking at the uterus. Those are the ways of figuring it out.  Tune in to hear the full answer, and the answer to 10 other questions in this episode.
